Afterlife

When things die in Atozia, their souls are collected by Soul Reapers - divine servants tasked with collecting souls and transporting them to the Plane of Judgement, Limbo.

In Limbo the souls are presented to Ious - God of Justice, which reviews their life and weights their deeds and their piety. If the soul has lived by certain domains or gods, the soul will be allowed to enter the plane of the domain they have lived by. Each gateway to the upper planes is guarded by a statue of the god associated with each gateway. Based on the results of the weighing and Ious' judgment, each statues steps aside if the soul have lived up to their respective domains. Often is multiple options available and the soul is able to choose where to reside for eternity. Rarely a soul is granted no passage onward and is only able to pass to the Plane of Death, The Sea of Lost Souls. This gateway is not protected and always open. Animals and low intelligence neutral creatures are often claimed by Faenira - Goddess of Nature and go to The Eternal Grove, Feywild. And evil creatures' only option is most often The Nine Hells.
