Ashefort

Population: 45.000 including the surrounding farms.

And old military fort that over the years has blossomed into a city. The town was originally surrounded by the open bay on one side and the Falador Forest on the other. Over the years, people found a lucrative trade in the timber of the forest. The town became known for their vast resources of timber which were in high demand after the The Battle of the Gods (TBOTG) as people were rebuilding. Later on, the town began producing charcoal in great numbers as well which made Falador Forest recede quickly. The burning of trees to make charcoal tainted the bay around the Ashefort and became known as The Black Bay. The are around Ashefort were now larges grasslands which were enriched by the remains of the dead forest on top of them. People began cultivating the land and, 900 years in The Third Age, producing enormous amounts of food to the whole kingdom. Nowadays Ashefort gets its wood from a town called Timberton on the edge of Falador Forest.
