Founded: Around 4000 years ago.
History:¶
Aelmyr before The Battle of the Gods (TBOTG) is referred to as Old Aelmyr. Most of the kingdom sunk into ruin and much knowledge about Old Aelmyr was lost. The current royal family is said to be descended from the kings of The Second Age.

King¶
King Siaphel The Wise - lawful good. First king to construct public schools.
The King's Advisors¶
The King has eight advisors each representing different gods and aspects of life. Being an advisor is only bestowed upon the utmost knowledgeable individuals. When a new advisor is to be chosen, candidates can present themselves before the remaining advisors. It is said that an almost impossible challenge is presented to candidates and even if they overcome it, all the remaining advisors have to come to an unanimous decision. This ensures the new advisor is a true master of their domain.
Lords¶
The lords of Aelmyr are members of the different family houses of the kingdom. Each house governs different areas of Aelmyr and has different levels of power and influence. Some lords and houses have strong alliances with others, others not.
Barons¶
Barons are owners of big pieces of land, often granted to them by the king, for supporting or helping the monarch in need. The barons consist of rich men, retired knights, bastards of lords and sometimes just heroic or highly regarded people.
Knights¶
Knights are usually great warriors that receive knighthood from the king. Only the king can appoint knighthood.

Resources¶
Food - the land is quite fertile and combined with technology, it produces huge amounts of food.
Metals - the mountains are plentiful in gold and iron.
Wood - The Falador Forest covers a significant part of the land and is being worked heavily.
Technology - scientists are many in Aelmyr and make the kingdom one of the most civilized places in the world.
Magical objects - Aelmyr is home to many magic guilds, which studies magic intensively.
Relations¶
Great relations with most nations.
Humans have an inherent distrust of orcs and tieflings.
There hasn't been a war for 50 years.
Culture¶
Freedom. People generally likes to keep to themselves and frown upon being nosey. This results in lots of different closed communities. It isn't rare to come across a village with particular customs or consisting mainly of one race.
Religion¶
There is freedom of religion though some branches are shunned by the general public. The official religion is the worship of Magillion - God of Knowledge.
